Silver Eye Photography is owned and operated by Abby Elliott. A documentary photographer for 7 years and photography business owner for over 12 years, her passion for capturing once in a lifetime moments extends to all areas of her art.
Elliott strives to capture the character and personality of her subjects through split-second moments in time. While working on documentary projects, she also focuses on what she likes to call Family Life Photography. From engagements to weddings, births to children, families to events; Abby Elliott approaches all work with an eye for the unstaged moments that let her subject's most honest selves shine through.
As a child, she was read National Geographic Magazine by her grandfather. In first grade, her mother encouraged her to take an after school class and Elliott chose photography. When she opened her very first set of prints, she fell in love wtih the camera and it's power to freeze the world around her in time. Elliott studied photography throughout school and graduated with a degree in Documentary Photography from Columbia College Chicago. She has photographed under the direction of photographers from National Geographic, Conde Nast, Time, Life and both the New York and Chicago Sun Times. Elliott has been published many times and received a "Best of Photography Award" in 2000 from Serbin Publications. In 2006, she released her first documentary photography book, Courage & Katrina.
Elliott's love for family photography stems from the deep bonds within her own family. Whether photographing her children at play, her husband working, or her dog lounging on the floor with the baby; Elliott has been described as "one with her camera" which rarely leaves her side. Her ability to show personaly through only a single image is what has driven her to her current focus: Family Life Photography.

To replace the photos and add your own, click on any of the photos then on the photo list icon on the bottom menu.
You have a second minipage inside the PORTFOLIOS slide for subcategories.
You can edit all the menu item names by selecting them and using the edit text icon on the bottom menu.
To add more subcategories:
* Select the minipage inside the PORTFOLIOS slide, go to the slide manager icon on the bottom menu, rollover any of the slides and click the duplicate icon
* Create a new menu item or button for it (or duplicate and edit an existing one)
* Then reassign the orange arrows links to the photo album in your new subcategory using the behaviors icon (appears on the bottom menu when you select the arrow)
